Hi, I recently delivered / collected my brothers V12 E roadster from the soda blasters in the West Midlands

The car is in superb condition having only done 17K miles, however following a bare shell repaint that went badly, ie the 2 pack paint didn't fully harden, it all had to be stripped again.

The blasted finish can only be described as superb - no damage whatsoever to the steelwork - even the steel manufacturers etch marks were still on it. Everything was blown off it apart from the original heavy underseal on the floor sections.

When I got it to the painters we washed it down with warm water to dissolve the residue and baked it in the paint oven to dry it out.

Cannot fault the process for what we needed other than the cost but no sand to get blown out during painting and no chance of metel stretching associated with the abrasive processes. Not sure how good it would be at knocking rust / rot out of a shell but for what they did on that car it was superb.

It was on the Soda blast UK stand at last Novembers show at the NEC - pale yellow with half the paint knocked off if anyone saw it.

And of course have no connection with them, so independant observations for anyone considering the process.
regards, Chris Stoke-on-Trent
